Gold Beach Visit

 I haven’t really had the chance to write down the happenings and results of our secret visit to Gold Beach {our visit wasn’t announced to the congregation}. We had a wonderful stay while we were there {Saturday & Sunday}. Lunch with the pastor and his wife was wonderful and they gave us a tour of the town. That night we had an interview with the search committee. That was also a great new experience and the people were really friendly. Sunday we went to church there and it felt very comfortable and welcoming {just what we were hoping for}. We went out to lunch with a couple from the church and had a great time with them. We would love to live there {it’s beautiful} and serve in their church community.

On Tuesday evening the search committee met again and afterwards the pastor called Anthony. They think he would be a great fit for the church there and invited us to come back for a candidating visit. So… in May {19^th & 20^th} we will be going back down to Gold Beach to introduce ourselves to the whole church. We will meet with the students on Saturday and then on Sunday share a little bit about us {mostly Anthony}. There will be a potluck and the church will vote… Then if they accept us and confirm the search committee’s decision, we will hopefully move down early in June.

It is crazy how quickly everything in life seems to be going. We would appreciate prayers as we continue with this church in Gold Beach and things begin to change in our lives. {I also have a skype interview next Monday with a middle school in the area… hopefully that goes well}.
